Man, I've been going between SS and board waiting nailbite_smile ........okay......he's slowed down some......did he snack at all? His previous drop was over 150 so thank God he slowed. Don't trust him though. Will check back at 10:30.

No snack yet.

Well finally got all that teal text changed to black. Much easier on the eyes.

Gotta wonder why he drops so fast in the a.m. in the first few hrs. PZI usually doesn't kick in ASAP so maybe pancreas is getting the help it needs and is kicking in a little. Nice slow down but don't go back in the water yet  Be interesting to see what .25 does. What time is his dental?

7:45 AM Wed. Just started the first round of antibiotics this morning.

I trust you are not going to give him insulin that morning?

What??
We're going in for 2 units.
Dam the torpedo's!!! Full speed ahead!!!!

cat_pet_icon You wouldn't do that to Kitty but.........the other vet would have. Probably would've shot Kitty himself before dental if you said you hadn't cat(2)_steam I am so hoping Kitty goes into remission because then YOU WOULD HAVE TO go back to that vet and let him know just how well Kitty is doing without his input and poor advice. Heck, I'd even go back now and pin the SS on his shirt

4.5 @ 90.

They dont know I left so I will probably bring an updated SS for his record in the near future.
Tell em I cleaned Kitty's teeth myself with a dremel tool and some polishing wheels. :o :-D

FWIW
You could have shot .25 at +6 last night and probably would have seen a high blue amps today that may have only required another. 25 or even less.
You're getting close to "micro dose numbers" here.
Carl

Carl, that would've been at 12:30 a.m. and would've been risky unless Sev didn't want to get any sleep. There are times when you just say screw the shot and go to bed and know the cat is fine for the night and you'll deal with whatever in the a.m. He could also try shaving a spot of fur off, spreading a little insulin on the skin and then poking with the needle  I'm hoping once the dental is done Kitty will go into remission because if he doesn't and he keeps up with the a.m. routine, Sev might become an alcoholic

ROFLMAO! Didn't the new vet request his records be sent over?

I had them on hand and got the feeling that they are not impressed with the old vet.

Sev
If you still have the box that the insulin vial came in....maybe just put it in kitty's bed? Just the word "insulin" might keep him lower?
Carl

What is so sad is that vet could learn from you and Kitty and all you've done and maybe prevent him from possible overdosing other kitties that come to him in the future.

Well. I am actually soaking Kitty's paws in insulin.
Getting him to stand still while all four paws are in seperate glass bowls has been a bit trying.
However I find osmosis works fine. ;-) ;-) :-D

Sev, you just might have to switch to U100 syringes so you can give less than .25 even. You could give .10 using a U100 and the conversion chart. I've never used U40 syringes, only the U100 and the chart plastered on my fridge.

Surfs up!!!
+5 @ 110

I have 200 U40's coming.

Using a U100 you still have to use the eye  but there are lines there to help you except you'd still have to eyeball a .10

True.

Well I may give Kitty some Fresh Pet @ +6. It generally does not bump his numbers up to much. Also we may see if his pancreas kicks in.

I am going to hold off on the snack and see how this plays out.

Going to test every other hour now as we can see the pattern.
