Would it be possible to set up a different dining area for Audrey? You know, where she could eat at a leisurely pace? Perhaps adding some linens and mood lighting might help her adjust... ;o) Alex can still chow down wherever he's used to chowing down...

It varies. I'm a free feeder, so wet food is out all day and night. Some people feed four times a day. Some people maybe less. It's whatever works for you and your cats...
I remember when I first started dancing with Gizzie, there were times I went to bed (finally...) not with a head ache, but with a brain ache... It is a lot to take in and record in your memory bank! I found re-reading most helpful...

different point of view, I know. When they are first Dx. our babies are drinking and eliminating like crazy, so we tend to look at less urine as a good thing. Then we we change them over to wet food (if we haven't been feeding) and hopefully mixing water in with it ..... and we are back again! I have needed to add extra boxes and I don't care. I lost two civvies to kidney problems in the last year and since cats normally don't drink a lot, the water in a food that is usually full of water, perfect! To me all that moisture going through them is good .... I have ten cats and all of them eat the wet like a soup, and love it! How to get a cat to drink! feed them!!
