KT has posted Char's data from yesterday. She is finished abx and is acting closer to her normal self, but the data shows that she could be a lot better. Thoughts?
 
Certainly a good drop; the insulin is working but she certainly could be lower. I'd suggest an increase- maybe start with adding 0.25, hold three cycles. If she is still high, on a cycle she can monitor, increase again. Sound reasonable?
 
It is definitely working, but I don't see how the entire curve can be lowered enough to get the highs low enough and still keep the nadir in a safe zone. Fortunately I did buy her some 100 u syringes and pinted out the conversion chart so I'll let her know that the suggestion is to increase by .25u. Thanks.
 
Vet recommended a 1u increase which she did and was too low to shoot this am (70). Vet recommended skip and 3u again tonight. She has now purchased Lantus and 100u syringes and will start tonight at .5u. Given that kitty was probably pretty low overnight I thought better to start a bit low and increase to 1u in a few cycles. Sigh - I hope this stabilizes the poor girl.
 
If she has switched to Lantus, I'd post on the L&L and forum. It's dosed COMPLETELY different from Prozinc.
