Cryosurgery Advice

I haven’t posted in a while. My Boy has been stable for sometime. He has Acromegaly, advanced heart disease, and diabetes. The Acromegaly caused him to develop a growth on the side of his paw pad. It seems to bother him and I’m deeply considering having it removed with Cryosurgey. I’m hoping to find someone who has had their fur baby go through this type of procedure and could give me some insight. He is on 37.5 mg of clopidogrel and my concern is whether he can have the removal of the growth while on this medication.

Is Calcifur seeing a cardiologist vet? I relied on mine to tell me if Neko could have anaesthesia or other procedures. She could have sedation but not anaesthesia when her heart disease got worse. It could depend on the nature of the heart disease as well as the Plavix (clopidogrel).

We have an appointment with his Cardiologist next week. I have many questions prepared.

I wanted to see if other Acro/heart parents have had success with Cryo and what their experiences were.
My boy can’t have anesthesia or sedation. I believe a cryo session can be done without either.

To reach a wider audience, you could put a post on the Feline Health forum, titled "experiences with cyrosurgery on blood thinner?" or something like that.
