Hello!
Cessan was seen by her vet and she agreed I could do Sub Q's at home and Cessan is getting 50 cc's every other day. The binder is considered not good for use in many countries and Cessan won't eat her food with it in anyway. I found in Sweden on a Swedish ebay type site almost 2 pounds of the phosphrous binder and while it is not gel as we need prescriptions for that gel compounded powder Europeans apparently order from the USA and either customs allows it or doesn't see it or they get it themselves on trips or have friends bring it in.
Sadly the mans cat was misdiagnosed and by the time the vet figured it out he was dying.
Looking at the metric blood results is confusing and I have no idea if phosphorous was even tested on Cessan.
The man who is sending me the powder for 60 dollars said that his vet took blood tests but it never listed phosphorus on it so I suppose mine doesn't either.
I guess when I talk with my vet I will see if just starting on 1/8th a tsp for now would be ok. CRF is basically treated by this renalize or something I really have such poor short term memory I need stuff in front of me, sub q fluids and that is it.
I am having a friend send pepcid AC to me but I had some here and that is controlling her nausea and she is eating almost normally again.
I joined Tanya's crf group but haven't introduced myself yet.
I am sure along the way Cessan will need insulin again. I can only get Caninsulin and will need help.
I hear there are a lot of CRF cats so I will be around to ask for help as needed.
Thank you everyone!!! Bonnie in Sweden
