Don't know if I'm doing fur shots or what's going on. We do have a appointment with new vet on the 10th in hopes of a better insulin.https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet...gZmZc3TcsDtxtMlrEbfHbsQFp4/edit#gid=361360320

Most of us use Lantus, I see you live in the US . Lantus is expensive in the US so we buy it from Marks Marine in Canada
We buy the 5 pack of pens they will probably last you for over a year
With Lantus you use U-100 syringes with half unit markings
so you can increase or decrease by 0.25 units
With the pen you can only adjust by whole units, that's why we use syringes to insert in the little gray rubber stopper and draw out the insulin from there[/QU
Thank you so much for your help. Have a blessed day

I would just have your vet writeLantus is what Im hoping to get a script for. Do you know if there is any special way it would need to read?
Thank you WendyFor a cat on Novolin, Cuddles spreadsheet looks pretty good. Since it's a short acting insulin, I'd expect lower numbers earlier in the cycle and higher preshots as the insulin has worn off by then. Lantus, Prozinc, or Levemir are all better options as all are longer lasting insulins and might help keep him flatter.
If you are following SLGS, you should have lowered the dose to 0.75 units when you saw that 62.

On your Caninsulin/Vetsulin and N/NPH forum, we have a BEGINNER'S GUIDE TO HUMULIN N/NOVOLIN N/NPH It suggests reducing the dose if you see a number below 90.
