@MrWorfMen's Mom i thought she was comming off insulin but i just got a reading of 389 i thought she was doing good. What would you do i emailed my vet the link but she hasnt responded yet so i dont know what to do. I am doing a curve Saturday as i took the day off of work do ill have all day to do the curve. But maybe she got into something outside? Im not sure what to do now

It looks like Mitters was doing a better on more insulin. I would raise the dose back up. However, you may want to re-test to make sure you didn't have a bad test. Since it sounds like your cat goes outdoors, it's certainly possible that a neighbor leaves food out for any outside/feral cats and Mitters is stealing snacks.

I agree the dose should be 0.75u. I think the confusion about dose is my fault. I mistyped the dose initially as 0.5u on previous thread but then caught my error and corrected the original post and posted again. My apologies for the confusion.

That said, I have to wonder how low BG went last night and if that higher number this afternoon is from a bounce. The drop in 2 hours last night was substantial given ProZinc doesn't onset till about +2 and AMPS was not that high. Either that or as suggested, perhaps Mittens is getting some free food somewhere.

Im also wondering if my inslun is bad because it was left out number of times over night ok ill gove her 0.75 tonight and keep going with it i wont be home tonight to test +2 but I'll try tommrow or weds and do a curve Saturday

Might you be able to test a little later than +2. It's OK to test any time during the cycle ...i.e. when you get home. Or will you be gone all night?

YEAH BLUE! Yes it is a substantial drop but not a problem. Totally safe. If you can test again in an hour and see if Mittens has dropped further it will help determine how low she is going. I think she might be coming out of a bounce and she may bounce again tonight from that beautiful blue but it's all normal and for now I'd stay the course.
