Could Truman be in remission?

As you can see, we are pretty new to this game so I'm not sure. We use a human meter. Shortly after diagnosis we started to transition Tru from free feeding dry to canned twice a day. And we've seen steady improvement since then.

He's been OTJ since 8/25 and he probably should not have had it then. The missing number on his spreadsheet was the day my dad took care of the animals while I was out of town. There is only so much he's willing to do for his furgrandkids and a bs is not on that list.

Can I consider him in remission? If so, how often should I be checking him?

If Truman is getting those numbers without insulin and is still getting prednisolone then he looks like a kitty at the Falls to me! :)

Normally when a cat goes into remission you gradually step down the testing to preshots only, then once a week and maybe random spot checks thereafter (but at least once a month). However, with the asthma and steroids in the mix if he were mine I'd probably test him every few days (especially after admin of the steroids). Other members may have additional/better suggestions.
