Cosequin - side effects?

We are going to get Nutramax Cosequin Capsules with Glucosamine & Chondroitin Joint Health Supplement for Cats for our cat.

Has anyone experienced any side effects from it? Can you tell me what they are, if you did?

I started giving Tyler Cosequin ,it's almost 6 weeks , no side effects at all. He's been in remission since 1-24-21 and it hasn't raised his BG at all

You're welcome ! Buddy had a nice start this morning and a nice 3.5
Just a suggestion rather than putting an arrow in the 4 cell saying +3.5 what we do is in the 3 cell you would put 77 @+3.5 and then manually color it in green.

@Diane Tyler's Mom - okay - thanks for the tip! today 203 - but he was fighthing with his brother before testing/breakfast. also, neither of us was around for the +2/+3 testing today. will get one as soon as i get home from work.

I used cosequin and had no issues with it.

I've read that some cats may get GI upset with it, but as you see lots of people have used it with no problems. I would think give it with food (soon before eating) and it should help if that's a problem.

Side Effects of Cosequin

• Itching.
• Fatigue.
• Insomnia.
• Headaches.
• Allergy symptoms, if present, may worsen.

I've used Cosequin with 2 cats over the years. One of my kitties is currently using it. He's had no side effects whatsoever. He's also back to his previous level of activity including racing up stair after my other cat.

What dosage do you give?

i got the nutramax max strength capsules and sprinkle one a day on his food. the guidelines are a little weird 1 capsule for 10lbs and under and 2 for 10lbs and over....a bit too broad for my preference.

I have a big cat. The vet recommended 2 capsules a day.
