Kitty has been on Cosequin for about a year. His joints clearly bother him.

I'm thinking of moving to Dasequin for cats.

Does anyone have experience with it?
Does it have any side effects?
Do kitties reject the taste in food?

Feedback appreciated!

I've used dasuquin in my house. my cats never seemed to notice it being added to their food. of course i probably have the least picky eaters though too :-)

i never saw any side effects from it either.

it's a little pricier than cosequin but if it works i say it's worth it.

It's got a savory taste, cats seem to like it.

Adding self warming matts and ortho-bedding will help a great deal as well.

I think I'll move him up to the Dasequin, then.

What is ortho bedding? Just a bed with a foam mattress? Or something special?

That looks correct. I used to open the capsule, sprinkle and mix with the food.

Ortho bedding is just a foam insert, usually egg crate foam.

self heating matt: http://www.petedge.com/product/Home-Ken ... /53194.uts

You can check Drs. Foster and Smith also, they have a nicer variety of self heating matts. Both are fine, but Drs. is better quality. Since I had to wash often I went with Petedge because I needed quite a few.

If you have pet stairs or a ramp, that helps the joints too because there is less jumping so less stress on the bones.
