Hi there. Okay well he should be fine tonight and you can rest — no wait that’s only +2 so he should come down from there.

You should have shot the fat dose this morning. Last night was just a temporary reduction (although it looks like he would have been fine with the.75 F).

As for this week, take a look at his spreadsheet. When I look at the days you have given him the fat dose, he has done very well and is stable by +6 in the cycle (which is noon.). He also has only ever hit the 90s on the fat dose so far — so I don’t think you need to worry about him dropping too low. You would give him his +6 snack as usual at noon (or just a little before say at 11:30 a.m. or 11:45 a.m. just before you leave the house. What time will you return home?

Anyway, having said all that — if it’s going to cause you way too much anxiety to shoot the fat dose then maybe you should not do it for the time being. I just wanted Corky to be able to get into the upper greens for part of his cycle. But life happens, and I know you need the medical appointments. So it’s really up to you.

I am normally back within 2 hours. I can do the PMPS as a fat dose and see how he does, I just don't want to panic in the morning, if he's lower I guess it will be ok, I am even trying to test him every 4 hours instead of 3 when he's at a good cycle nut is so hard since he tends to spiral up or down so suddenly, is this normal? or ?

Today he has had a good steady cycle with a smooth rate of drop and then back up again. Sometimes at night he seems to have a big rise at +2. Anything different about his food at night (for his shot time meal, I mean?). It’s just his Fancy Feast right? He doesn’t do it all the time though. I generally attribute it to the fact that those first two hours are when his old insulin is wearing/has worn off and the new shot hasn’t kicked in yet. So don’t worry — I am just asking if there’s anything different at his p.m. meal.

Nothing but FF PATE and the last meal is 1/2 of the main course

It’s all good. I’m certainly not going to push you to do the .75 F dose while you’re having these daily appointments.
Thanks Suzanne! Although I did tonight, I want Corky to get to be without insulin or less at one point or another, I’ll just go to tomorrows and Friday, I must Is the Orthopedic and physical therapy I’m in a lot of pain as we even speak I get up and lay down with it I’ll finish the most appoints as possible I need him to really get better and now I’m giving Lactulose and Miralax to Coco again she’ll probably go tonight it’s only been 2 days I don’t want her to get clogged up again have a good night sweety I’m hank you for always touching base with me:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

Oh poor Coco. But seriously, Maria. Do NOT fail to take advantage of every PT and other appointment that you have. I would NOT cancel anything. You need to heal as much as possible.

Hey Maria. I hope your week is okay. I thought you were not going to be home much? I see an awful lot of tests on his spreadsheet. Corky looks okay. I hope you are as well.

I wasn't but I was home today not feeling up to go to the therapist, too much pain I will
still be shooting the fat dose he continues to have high yellows just now he tested 311
I tested 3 hours in row because I started to see lows did not wanted to be caught by surprise by PMPS, I might have to stay home tomorrow and Friday, I got this procedure I did not agree the Dr to do, I thought he was going to do the same procedure , but after I got home I was having a lot of pain behind the neck and come to find out he place a needle in my spine and blocked a nerve in my spine, which has gone horribly wrong, I have a lot of numbness and neck pain after 3 weeks I am very angry, I am waiting for my Attorney to authorize a second opinion, the headaches and pains don't stop, I am a mess, but Corky needs to get better so your suggestion would be a[about the dose, to keep or adjust:bighug::bighug::cat::cat:

Oh Maria, I am so sorry that you are in so much pain. That is truly horrible. Right now you need to take care of yourself so that you will be able to take care of Corky and Coco. You are already doing an excellent job of managing Corky. He is doing well. Let’s see how he continues to do on this .75 F dose. I hope you can get some sensible care and some safe pain relief soon.
