Good morning everyone! ~O)

Well, I was a little apprehensive to give Corduroy the .75 this morning when his AMPS was 211, but did anyway. I should know better than to assume his BG levels will go one way or another! This morning, after giving him the .75, it has only gone UP! Does anyone understand what this could be due to? I mean, everything has been going fine, save for the dip yesterday. But this doesn't make any sense to me :?

I hope you and your kitties are having a great Thursday so far!!!

I think he's just still bouncing from the quick drop to the 30's yesterday, Brigitte

They don't always just shoot up and then come down when they bounce....they can continue to "boing" up and down for several cycles

Hopefully he'll settle down soon for you!

i agree - Corduroy is bouncing from those 30's. that's his body's mechanism for saving him from hypoglycemia, and it works well. The second post in this post gives a little more information about a bounce. He'll come back down.

Thanks Julie for the link to your post about bounces. Reading it made it more understandable...not to say that I won't get tripped up again and think it's the end of the world! ;-) I think he's definitely in the bouncing stage right now!

Sorry to see the bounce. I know it is REALLY frustrating and still doesn't make sense to me and I've been testing since January. Most cats eventually stop bouncing so much I have been told. Max has failed that lesson so far. I hope Corduroy's bounce ends quickly and he is a faster learner!!
