Copper has been doing good lately. He mainly has been staying in the the blue's or yellows for nadir and low 300's for ps. He does have an occasional red(404) and not sure why. I know one time it was that he got into the dog food that i left out. But not sure of the rest. Maybe too much insulin? Hmmm...
Started a new vial today so went a little lower because i can't be home all day to watch him. I caught him the other day going down a BIG hill at our house to get to the pond. This used to be his favorite spot to hang out at before he started all the FD. I called him and he came running up the hill with no stops on his tiptoes. YEAH!!! His neuropathy is SOoooo much better. His muscles have all come back very strong. He now has the stamina back again to be the mighty hunter he is. He still hunted great even with the neuro. It is so good to see him using his back legs so good and him able to pick up his behind when he poops now. No more messes to clean up on him. He hated that i know the most. I know his numbers are not in the green too much, but he does seem to be healing. I'm happy for that.
We are going camping July 29-Aug5 and have been training a neighbor girl(16) to test and shoot him. She is going to stay here at the house for the week. Her mom and dad are divorcing and she is moving away next week. But she has agreed to come stay at our house for the week to take care of all the animals (except our doggie, annie, which is always with us). She has given 5 tests and shots and done them all just perfect. She is very calm, smart and good with copper. Of course, he is the BESTEST mellow cat too and doesn't mind who tests/shoots him as long as they give him food. It's all about the food. The other day when she was here, i was just sitting back as an observer and watched her do everything and copper was meowing and love biting and licking her ankles to hurry up and feed him. Too cute! He is such a great lover boy cat. Anyway, this sat (14th) my daughter has a performance she is in and we will be gone all afternoon and until late at night. I ask her if she felt ok to give the shot and she said yes. So this is the trial run. I have showed her how to use these message boards. So if you see a post from "Hannah saying help". Please anwser her. I will be in cell contact i think, but you never know. Just in case she needs the extra encouragement, do you all mind that if needed she can post here?
Will let you know how it all goes!
