Good Morning!
Kitty just can't settle into her TID dosing! Yesterday at her midshot, +8 on tid, she was 176-- I didn't shoot, but opted to wait it out until +12. When, will I EVER learn.....Kitty is a TID Cat?! She was HI at +12. I shot 3.2 -- waited 12 hours again, as I didn't want to start her tid cycle at 2 AM-- she was 505 this morning. I shot the 3.2 again and UNLESS she is 150 or less at her midshot test, she will be getting insulin at +8 today! In the past it was easier to be flexible in my shooting schedule, as insulin was the only thing I had to work around. But, now with the shot rotation for all her other meds, I really don't want to start a wonky shot schedule...I am giving some med every 6 hours now! BUT, I am tired of the High Preshots, so today I am going to bite the bullet and start back shooting as needed. We have come to far, with the help of everyone here, to let the diabetes get totally out of control! Other than that....she is eating well, grooming and seems pain free! She hates the meds...and so do I, but I have explained to her that she MUST take them for us to have more time together!
Sir Chewy was 71 this morning! I am sending the papers in tomorrow!
It is a VERY rainy cool day in the Alley, so we have a fire in the fireplace and are going to practice our relaxation skills today! Since Kitty has been sick, we have not had many uneventful days--- Here's hoping we get one in today!
Wishing Everyone a Great Day from Diabetic Alley......
