Good Morining!

Things are looking very YELLOW in Diabetic Alley!

Kitty
AMPS 205 shot 3 Units :-D
Kitty is doing Great! She is running around and ruling the house!

Chewy
AMPS 232 shot 1.5 Units :-D
Go Chewy!!!! Chewy seems to be doing great on the 1.5 units. He is still sneezing! He LOVES to look out the windows and stalk the birds. He sits on the foot of the bed each morning until I move...and then...HERE he comes--headbutting and purring!!! It is hard to imagine that he was surrendered at a high kill shelter 2 weeks ago today-- how sad.

Really great numbers for both of them.
Chewy seems to like the 1.5 U.
He sure sounds like a very sweet, loving boy.
I can't understand how anyone can dump off their cat at a shelter just because they have a health problem. If they can't afford to treat or understand how to treat them, ask for help!
Your'e doing a fantastic job with Chewy, Kim.
How's ms. Sally this morning?

Hi Angela! Sally...oh Sally! She needs more insulin. The last curve the vet performed, she only fed half of Sally's food, so the curve looked great-- but, it was due to not eating her normal amount. I have found that food plays an even bigger factor in dogs than cats. I am slowly increasing her-- I am up to 12 units now (just started this morning) and her numbers are still flat. I have a feeling she will need 15 to 18 units...but, I am trying to go slow and not miss the dose. Thanks for asking!

(Sally is a dog on Humulin N!)

I love those orange lover boys too! Copper was dropped off at the pound too at 7mths old. Don't know why either. The humane society(no kill) adopted him out of pound, thank God. He is the sweetest big loverboy.

Hope it continues in the yellow, blue and greens!!!

Chewy +5 88 fed low carb, he was asking for food!

I am okay with this, I just want to keep an eye on him. I have very little data on Chewy, but this is his first green that I have recorded! He just had his first blue this weekend. This is either going to be a Great Cycle or .....

+6 168 So much for Greens! I hope he hangs on for 6 more hours....and I am glad I caught the green!

He got out of the bedroom and met some of my Gang today! It went good...just a little "talking!" He couldn't stay out long-- My gang doesn't need to catch his crud. His transport has been postponed! :mrgreen:

If you would stock up you wouldn't have to worry about running out!

I have had to trim Petunia's nails, she has seriously scratched Petey's face. They were just playing but she gets wild. He's a little afraid of her, even though he has about 5 pounds on her! :lol:

Barbara - I think she's avoiding you! But I agree - he's a great fit in her home! ;-)

Most non-pet-people hear you have two and they thing you're crazy. Suffice it to say... we're all a little crazy! I just describe my number as "a house-full" and leave it at that! :lol: I know, the vet knows, the tax man knows, and the pet-sitters... who else really HAS to know, right???

Cancel the transport, I don't think anyone else would do as great of a job as your'e doing Kim.
 
Speaking of CRAZY...I just shot Kitty (tid) at +7 instead of +8! I knew it would happen sooner or later...at least, it was Prozinc and the right dose! I guess I am getting ready to get experience in 7 hour dosing.......I did recheck an hour later-- when I realized what I had done and she was at 300, so she should be fine. Hopefully, I don't make a mistake and give the N to the cats, and the Prozinc to Sally. Or 3 units to Chewy........
 
Yikes, that's what I meant when I asked how you keep up.

When asked about how many cats I have, I always ask them how many they saw. :lol:

Lu, when I took in the Petunia (she's the one all the joking is about) my mother told me I was getting to be like a hoader! :roll: A few weeks ago I fessed up to an aunt how many I had & she gasped on the phone. :lol:

I don't know how you keep track of their schedule Kim. You need a timer or something. Have you color coded their insulin bottles?
