Cool Kitty is starting a new streak this morning!

amps 251 shot 3.5

This morning she felt great! Kitty is old and has a lot of sub-par days, so we really enjoy the GOOD days! For the first time in months, she jumped on the bed and brought her toy mouse with her this morning--such a great sight to see. It is so true, that the greatest pleasures in life can be found in little things!

Kitty had a bouncy day yesterday, as she hung out in the pinks mostly--but, it looks like she is settling down and is back in the yellows this morning.

We are preparing for the Hurricane---stocking up on catfood, insulin, syringes, test strips, lancets, fluids etc....just in case--I might even get me a little stash of food. It does appear the inland areas might be spared the worst of the storm. The same cannot be said for my beach house!

GO AWAY IRENE!!!

Kim,
I love that you listed all the essentials for Kitty before you thought of yourself. But remember your needs too!
I hope Irene doesn't wreak too much havoc on you and your homes.

Go Kitty!

GO AWAY IRENE!!!! angry(2)_cat

Doesn't it make your heart smile when they feel good. This morning Harley was almost impossible to test because he was busy capturing the ties hanging off of my sleeve  he was playing and almost kitten like. It was so worth being late for work to see him play like that.

While you are stocking up on supplies grab a bag of chips for yourself. Do you board up your beach house? I sure hope everyone will be safe through this storm.

I am waiting to make the "boarding up " decision until tomorrow. I have secured all of the outside furniture.

For any that haven't experienced a cat 3 or 4 Hurricane---let me assure you, they can be really bad! But, you prepare the best you can and when it is over you pick up your life! My parents live in a rural area on 5 acres--in Hurrincane Fran they lost 28 trees and had one on the house and one on a car. The total landscape changed at their home after the storm. Mom had always wanted a rose garden, but we didn't have enough sun. So the next spring....Mom got her rose garden! What is the old saying..."when life gives you lemons--make lemonade!"

I just hope lives are spared and everyone is safe. There are always some sad stories during and after the hurricanes.

I can't even imagine what it would be like, it's just so scary.

I think that you and Barbara should pack up and come stay here until it's over, ok?

Kitty mdps--256 shot 3.5 :-D

She is due fluids during this cycle, but I probably will not give them on this reading.

Robin---get the wine stocked up, in case I show up! Better yet--Nancy, how about ship us some from Napa?!

Napa wine! Yes! the Napa Valley is beautiful this time of year .... grapes still on the vine, mustard growing wild everywhere! but soon, the smell of the crush begins and the air is filled with the smell of sweet grapes.

Trying to get everyone's thoughts off the hurricane! dancing_cat dancing_cat dancing_cat

Miss Kitty having a sweet yellow day!

Kitty and I just cleaned the freezer and fridge out, so if and when the electricity goes out....we won't have to smell excess spoiled food. My dog, Elllie, was very happy I decided to ditch the old sandwich meat!

Denise, are you in the projected path of Irene?

Don't you have tornados or something there?

Kim, did you feed the dog OLD meat? You're gonna make her puke!

And Nancy has the earthquakes! My one experience with that was enough!

I'm wondering about Denise also! Hopefully she will check in soon!

Yes we have tornados, but we also have basements to go down into and hide in so we don't get sucked out if the tornado hits the house.

Ahh Napa Wine, Kim whatever is left over when you pick it up from Ginny should get us through the hurricane.

Everyone stay safe.

I hope Denise checks in soon.
