Cookie's BGL's all over the place??

Is it normal when you start giving insulin (Lantus) that the BGL's are up and down like a roller coaster? After the better part of three weeks of this the vet wanted me to try the Purinia DM, thinking a different type of protein source might make a difference. She has been eating that for the past 3 days and still the numbers are crazy. I will go back to feeding her the Fancy Feast classic pate tomorrow. Any suggestions? any advice would be much appreciated!!

Every cat is different when starting insulin. I think your cat has been bouncing a lot when hitting green. There were two times when she earned reductions by dropping under 50 while on 1.5 units but you didn’t reduce. I would go back to fancy feast and give it a few more cycles to see how it goes with 1.25.
