I wasn't sure if I sure start a new topic or not

I just want to make sure I have the conversion amounts correct before I shoot anything:

If I want to give .25u I fill u100 to .75, .5u to 1.25 and .75 to 1.75. Wow even with the 1/2 unit markings its hard to get those amounts!!

I just looked at the box of u40 I have been using they are 1/2cc 29 gauge 1/2" - will that change the dosage amount going to the u100 3/10cc???

FYI I am gonna still use the u40 till I find out for sure

doesn't look quite right to me. You should be multiplying by 2.5 if you're using u-40 insulin and want to use u-100 syringes.

U-100 means 100 units per mL
U-40 means 40 units per mL

When you use a U-100 syringe to measure U-40, you are getting 40% of what the U-100 syringe indicates
Therefore, multiply the mark on the U-100 syringe by 0.40 to get the U-40 insulin dose value.

1 unit mark on U-100 syringe * 0.40 = 0.40 units of U-40 insulin
2 unit mark on U-100 syringe * 0.40 = 0.80 units of U-40 insulin
3 unit mark on U-100 syringe * 0.40 = 1.20 units of U-40 insulin

and so on. If you have half unit marks on the U-100 syringe, you can measure as finely as 0.20 units of the U-40 insulin
0.5 mark on U-100 syringe * 0.40 = 0.20 units of U-40 insulin.

So basicaly you want to dose..in .1u increments. It's hard todo .25u, but .2u is the .5 mark on the u100 syringe. .3u is halfway between the .5 and 1u.mark, etc.
