Even though Kitty is considered to be OTJ I will continue to monitor at the AMPS and PMPS and keep is SS up to date.

Thank you for all the help folks.

I'll still be stopping in from time to time.

Thanks again!!

I'm so happy that things worked out so well for you and Kitty.

As time goes by you can cut back on the testing, once a day for a month, once a week for a month and then monthly and of course any time something seems off with Kitty.

Stop by and say hey anytime you want.

I'll probably keep it 2 twice a day for quite a while.
80 days to get off the insulin must be some type of record. Actually 74 if you discount the dry food incident.

I hope hope the spreadsheet I built up on Kitty will inspire others to test more frequently so that the data presented can give a clearer picture of what is actually occurring.
It inspired my new veterinarian. :-D

Make sure Kitty stays out of that dry junk. Give him a pat on the head for me & say nice job. cat_pet_icon

He is still green. ;-)

Cello was on insulin for about 50 days! I tested daily for about two weeks when he went OTJ, now I test weekly. Once you see the numbers never change you'll be more comfortable! Probably going to go to monthly soon (and watch for any changes inbetween) sometimes cello has even gotten into dry food now and he hasn't gone up! Good luck with kitty!

50 days if fantastic. Congratulations.

Kitty is still cruising along. I'll give it a months or so before moving to once a day.

Woohoo Kitty :-D !

You started the same time Sneakers was DX'd. I can think of a lot of if onlys.
Well, I'm testing now, so hopefully she, too, will get some greens.
