Hello,
I cannot believe it! Long story short....My seymore has not needed insulin for the last 2 days and have wonderful numbers. He was switched completely over to fancy feast a couple weeks ago! slowly decreased insulin, now not giving him any! Cross my fingers!! Still has muscle weakness though.
My main question is that I have noticed some constipation with him? I need some advice on how to help him going to the bathroom....Ive heard pumpkin???
Anyone?

some use 100% PURE pumpkin (read the label for ingredients on the cans... no spices!) but you will have better luck putting maybe 1/4 tsp of miralax mixed in with the food, and be sure to ADD WATER to the food because the miralax draws water from the body and into the stool to soften it, so if you don't have the cat intake more water, you will get rid of the constipation but be left with a dehydrated cat!

Some cats have slow moving stool and helping it along is a good idea because you don't want to be dealing with megacolon later on or chronic constipation. The miralax was something I added to my cat's food every day, and problem solved.

I have tried the miralax!! It has worked! was getting worried with barely anything in the litter box for almost 5 days

I used the pumpkin with okay results, the mirliax gave the best results.

But keep an eye on it as my cat still needs it everyday to keep regular. I give 1/8tsp 2x daily and i can tell when I miss a dose :!:
