So I have been testing Riley before his evening shot and my numbers are always between 315 and 375, which is very high. I haven't had an opportunity to test him throughout the day, but I hope to next weekend. I am not really sure what to do at this point. I have posted a little about his story, but here is an overview. He was 26 lbs and we were told to give him 3 units twice a day. He has lost about 6 lbs (doc says he should be about 17lbs) and has been on a high protein, very low carb diet since we found out in July. I thought he seemed a little shaky on 3 units twice a day and people on the forum stated that seemed high, so we have been giving him 2 units twice a day for about a month.

I am looking for some advice as his numbers are high. He is very active now that he has lost weight and seems to be doing amazing...annoying (his new agility makes him think he can jump on anything he pleases)...but amazing, he doesn't drink too much, he urinated normally but his glucose numbers are high. I would really appreciate some thoughts on this as he seems to be doing great...but clearly the numbers disagree.

So I just tested Riley 4 hours out, and he is at 311. He was at 375 when I tested him before I fed and gave him 2 units of insulin. So it has gone done, but it is still very high. Any thoughts? This seems to be where he is usually at.
