Missy is a three year old diabetic in remission and monitored food portions with lots of added water in food. Here is some history as to my confusion. Sorry it is a little long because it's complicated.

After finding small pee with blood, the vet prescribed clavamox without testing because that would require this fiesty pet be sedated. I think she had showed signs of this earlier but I couldn't see it.
She did not seem to respond to clavamox for UTI. Her urine became regular size when I started medicine. There was one day that I only had 3/4 cc not 1 cc of clavamox left and then one missed dose. Before I managed to get refil. Then a day after completing last dose, tiny pee spotted with blood.
Back to vet for sedation and testing. Blood testing and physical was ok. Now waiting for urinalysis to finish the week of incubating it to find out what medicine is best. Was told on Tuesday to continue with clavamox until we find out results.
A few times she didn't seem to be hungry which is weird for her. I assumed that was due to infection that she was not herself. I fed her to make sure she had her sugar level stay regulated and so that I could give medicine with food.

This morning an hour and half after I fed her, I saw it all thrown up in a huge puddle with the knotted section of a mesh bag that I had emptied from chicken bones used to make broth on Saturday. I had no idea that she had found any garbage. There was no evidence of that.
I use a low cost vet mobile and they only give you access to vet if standing on a line outdoors for hours on days that they are available. The vet administrator told me that throw up may be related to something else and that I should come in right away. Next chance would be early tomorrow. I don't knowing he is right. Based on all this info, is there anyone who can offer me more guidance in this?

Last time it took me 1 1/2 hours to get there for Tuesday location. On the way back when Missy woke from sedation she was mad as hell trying to attack through the carrier. It was an awful 2.20 hours train traffic mess to get back. I prefer not to do this again if I can avoid it. She definitely would need sedation again.
She also needs updated shots but they said not when she is sick. Uhhhh sedation again but I have to do that before September when I get real busy.

sounds to me like she found the trash, and if there is a piece of the bag, that's what made her throw up.
I would search thru the garbage to determine if she likely has more of the bag inside her.
You could let her munch on some grass , or get some kitty grass as that helps them to throw up.

I can understand wanting to avoid the vet if you can.... especially with all you have to do for it.
I would observe for a while, see if I could get her to throw up again, IF you can't find the rest of the bag.....
I would also start searching her poops for the next few days.

If she likely has a lot of the bag inside her, it would probably be best to get xrayed....

It's normal for clavamox to bother many kitties.
It can cause tummy upset and make them inappetant. Find something that she will eat, even if it's not for FD.

If chicken bones were in the garbage, too, I would definitely take her in for x-rays. Keep us posted, ok?:bighug:

Thanks
I just got a call from vet with results from urinalysis. Not UTI but her blood work was showing bacteria.
White blood cells 18.5 (normal is 3.5-16.5)
Platelet 181 (normal range is 200-500)
Neutrothils 9435 (normal is 2500-8500)
So the vet recommended I give Vatril 22.7 mg for 7 days. They said that's one pill every 24 hours. They warn not to OD as that can cause sickness and blindness. It sounds scary. They said it can be given with or without food.

I spoke to admin supervisor and he said that I don't have to come in for X-ray if she is fine and that clavamox may have caused her to throw up. I seriously doubt any bones where found. I separated it and carefully wrapped those when disposing just incase she tried to get in. I may have not paid as much attention to were the mesh bag was and maybe that was closer to the top.

The lock on my garbage broke. But I don't think she can't get in when it is closed. I used to have to use tape to keep the bag hanging because she would try to break the folded over elastic top of the bag. I almost paid 200 for a new garbage with insert but it had no lock but great reviews. Then I watched online how to hack a garbage can. It showed a creative idea for a homemade insert. I made one with corrugated card from a delivery box. So she can't pull out the bag at all or yank on the tape either. Shame that the lock itself is broken. Now wondering if I need a new $60 can with new lock but use my own insert with it.
Missy is a joy, but boy is she exhausting me!
She is so crafty and quick. I have to dry my pan in the toaster to stop her eating the rubber handle. No more rubber sink strainers allowed either. What on earth will she do next!!!!!

The old garbage was thrown out on Sunday morning and Throw up was this morning. I Never heard of kitty grass before. How do I know when to use it? I could maybe order it through that online pharmacy if they carry it or get to a pet store later in week. How urgent is it to do now?

I have never used cat grass before and just started researching how to grow it at home. As a diabetic is there a limit that I should be aware of in monitoring with cat grass? I have a small cramped apartment and she can jump quite high, so not sure if I would be able to store it, unless I leave it out on the fire escape. Is there a particular type of cat grass that is preferred for diabetics?
I hope that seeing how cats like this, that she would prefer it to eating rubber. So correct me if I am wrong, eating won't necessarily make her throw up but it may if she needs to?

they often sell it at petsmart.... little plant sitting there.... or petco....
says kitty grass....

most indoor cats love to run outside and eat grass... which makes them throw up.
You could go find a nice sample outside, and just bring her a handful , see if she eats it...
pick grass... not weeds...

don't pick someone's perfect lawn as it might have pesticides and fertilizers to make it so perfect.
just a clump of grass that gets ignored.

If she's acting normal now, you can just keep checking her poop...for a day or so....
only you know how much of the bag is missing, we don't.....
