So earlier in the week he has black diarrhea. He had this earlier in the year and both times he would be back to normal after some bland food.

Today he won't eat a lot of what I offer him. He will eat the treat I give him but not his fancy feast, bland chicken or Tuna. I got him a can of friskies and he ate some but that's it. He's kind of alert but a little lethargic . I talked to the vet and I'm bringing him in tomorrow. Anyone have any experience with this

Black diarrhea can mean bleeding from higher up in the intestinal tract. This can be a symptom of inflammatory bowel disease. Something to ask your vet about.

I agree with the above... Internal bleeding. Make sure they also check for anemia. Best wishes. Let us know what the vet says.
