Hi to you both and a Big welcome to LL from Do Lou and I   and hometesting will get easier as you and your boy get into a routine I use freeze dried treats for Do Lou each time and it really helped in those early days of testing for us ;-)

those blood tests will get easier. there was a ton of advice in your last condo (thread) - now that you have the lantus you might want to reread through it. i found it took me a while to absorb all the information here. there is simply a lot to learn in a short time. once you've got it it's pretty easy, but it can take a bit to get it all.

here's your earlier condo - we link the urls from the day before. http://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/viewtopic.php?f=9&t=52627

welcome again to lantus land!

Just stopping by to say Welcome to LantusLand! We're looking forward to seeing more of you and Clyde!! Congrats on hometesting...it's the best thing you can do to keep Clyde safe. It does get easier!

Amy

I, too, would like to welcome you both to the group. This group is extremely helpful, and it has a wealth of information to learn from. It may be a bit overwhelming at first, but just ask questions (even if they sound redundant to you). Testing WILL get easier over time. You'll both do fine here. You couldn't be in better hands I tell you. :-D Have a wonderful day, and I look forward to seeing Clyde's progress. :-D

Welcome to LL! Hometesting will get much easier as everyone else has said. The freeze dried chicken treats are the best. Simon now waits for me in his testing spot when he knows it is time to test because of the treats. I usually sing a song to Simon as I test him because I found that it calms him a little. I sing the same song so he knows it is part of the routine and he will get a treat after. Good luck and once again, welcome!

Richie and Clyde!

Glad you're starting your Lantus journey and off that Humulin N. It's been a month yesterday - finally today, we broke thru and hopefully convinced his body that it's OK to be low! We were under 100 for a few hours even! Keep your dancin' shoes nearby...today was a fast step. Clyde will hopefully stop the roller coaster ride and have a much smoother curve. That will make him feel a lot better....

Hi Fives!
