Civvie in the hospital :(

My civvie, Zuri, who eats everything her nose touches, decided to eat my 80lb dog’s flea meds today. So now she’s at the emergency vet overnight being monitored in case she has a seizure. I swear, if it’s not one thing it’s another. Every one of my animals is high maintenance :banghead::banghead::banghead:

At least I have insurance on her. It’s paying for itself tonight!

I have a civvie chonker who eats everything. He gave himself and his brother herpes from sneaking into my herpes cat's room and eating her food. :facepalm:

How does the insurance work? I've never been sure if it would ever be worth it!

It supposedly covers 80% of unexpected costs over $250 but this is the first time I’ve had to use it, so we’ll see how much I actually get reimbursed. Zuri has only been with us for about 9 months so the cost at this point is well worth it!
 
She just got home! She’s a little drooly/nauseous and seems very out of sorts, but at least she’s home. I gave her some Pepcid to see if that makes her feel better. Even though she’s not showing any neuro signs, which is really good, she’s definitely not unaffected, poor baby :(

Who knows! It’s meant to be chewable so probably has beef or liver flavoring or something. Her favorite contraband food is French fries.. so maybe it smelled like that to her :joyful:
