Yesterday's Condo

We tried fattening the dose for last night's shot, and it didn't seem to make any difference, so this morning we bumped it up to 1.25. Too soon to tell if it helped, obviously, but I like the +3 number. Of course, he had a bigger drop last night on 1.0f at +3, so who knows? confused_cat

Started Cinco on Zobaline today. I didn't know there was anything out there that might help his back legs (vet seemed unconcerned about it), until I read a comment in someone else's post. I researched it and and, after checking with the OV to make sure there would be no interaction with the eye drops, I ordered it. I hope it helps him. I think, before his vision went, one of the reasons he didn't move around alot was because he back legs were weak and possibly painful. Paws crossed!

Sending healing vines to all in need today and Cheers to Sassy for day 12 of her OTJ trial. drinking24 Two to go!

Work that dosecrease, Cinco!!! I hope the Zobaline helps with his back legs...I know many have had good luck with it. Have a great evening, guys!!

Good luck with the Zobaline. I know it has worked wonders for cats with neuropathy. I used it on Champ for a few months when he was first diagnosed with FD, but his problem ended up not being neuropathy at all, but some other neurologic problem that causes his front legs to wobble. Since it isn't a life-threatening condition, and it hasn't gotten any worse from when it first started, I've just ignored it. If anything, it seems to have gotten better since starting Adequan so the wobbling may have been a pain reaction to his arthritis.

I hope Cinco's numbers for this evening continue to look good. I notice he was coming down earlier today so, hopefully, he continued in that direction!!

Hi Tricia! I know the methylcobalamin worked well for Chyna even if it took awhile to work it's magic (for impatient bean moi), so Zobaline should be awesome :-D I hope the dosecrease brings Cinco into some great numbers! How do you pronounce Cinco? I'm so nosy ;-) Have a nice evening, and happy Friday! :-D :-D

Hi Rachel!

You aren't nosy. Just interested. :-D Cinco is pronounced "sinko" - Spanish for five. In case you haven't read Cinco's story, when he showed up we already had four cats, and my DH kept referring to him as "number five". I told he we couldn't keep calling him that, so he became Cinco!

You know, I thought I had read it, but maybe not since it didn't sound familiar ohmygod_smile I've read it now! You have a house full of cutie patootie sweetie pies :-D It sounds like you have a lot on your plate with them! And that is a great name! :-D

Thank you, Rachel! I need to update it with the most recent diagnosis *sigh*. Your Chyna is beautiful. She reminds me of the calico I used to have, from whom I took my username - Nemesis. She was almost tortie in her coloring, but had a fair amount of white, too. She had a tortie sister.

I had to update my profile too, to back on insulin :YMSIGH: Thanks, I love tortis and calicos! Well, all kitties actually  Good thing I have slight allergies and Chyna hates other cats so I can only have one, or my allergies would be running wild, and so would all the cats in my house ;-)

Yes, I have a slight allergy to pet dander, too. Siberians are supposed to be dander-free, which is one of many reasons we got them. Abyssinans, however, are dander factories, and Cinco sheds like crazy, so I have to be careful about putting my face into their fur too often. Unfortunately, I'm not very good at being careful. This explains my itchy, watery eyes!
