Good day yesterday, nice numbers, usual excellent appetite. This morning he was just as hungry as always, although BG higher than it's been. I noticed he keeps shaking his head, so I took a look when I tested him at +3.5, and his ears are pretty gunky. I was surprised, because when I've looked at them in the past, they've always been clean. Had some ear cleaner the vet gave me for another cat, so after his +4.5 test I squirted it in his years and wiped the outermost bits off with gauze as the vet taught me. After a good ear massage, he shook his head pretty hard, so I'm guessing the gunk is mostly all over me and the sofa now! He took off after, so I'm letting him pout for a while before I take another look. Poor guy - not only does he get poked multiple times a day, but he's still getting his mouth rinsed after every meal, and now I'm squirting stuff into his ears, too! It's a wonder he lets me get near him! Lucky he's such a sweet, laid-back cat.

What a sweet story of how Cinco got his name and came to live with you. DH is a funny guy. :lol: :lol: Really amazing much difference a little insulin made for him. Cinco knows you are just trying to help him, even messing with his ears.

Thank you, Anne. I think you are right. Even after I torture him like that, he doesn't run far. He really is a sweet, mellow cat that deserves a much better life than he's had. Rhiannon, that was funny!! And so true - I've had cats do that! Hope things are better with you.
