I guess Cinco thought I was getting too comfortable with his nice, low numbers and decided to shake me up last evening by flirting with yellow! Upon further evaluation, I'm thinking that maybe it was because he had no snack after his second breakfast at 9:00 am. I made sure he had a couple during the evening and before I went to bed, and look how good he was this morning! Guess I need to go back to having his automatic feeder give him a snack at +6 and +9. I had suspended that because I was giving him freeze dried salmon and bonito flakes for his snacks, and he was supposed to stick to moist foods following his dental. I've started the bonito flakes again, so I'll put those in the feeder and wait for the all-clear from the vet on the freeze dried salmon when he goes for his recheck next week.

Hope everyone has a good Wednesday. I'm headed to our storage unit to look for a few Christmas items my dh missed when he brought home the boxes! If you want something done right..... haha_smiley

Beautiful numbers for Cinco today!!

It sure does look like it makes a difference that he gets that snack! Hopefully the vet will OK the salmon before he gets tired of the bonita flakes!

Normally feeding snacks (other than bonito flakes or freeze dried salmon) after nadir slows down the effects of the insulin except in those cats whose pancreas is working well and kitty is about to go into remission.

But even still...his SS looks great.
