Hi Bron @Bron and Sheba (GA) and everyone good morning,

I was away nearly three weeks from the forum hope you all going great.
I’m taking my two cat babies to vet , one’s going to do bloodwork and other one goi to check blood pressure. To minimise stress level I thought to give gabapentin to both of them. Is it something unnecessary? Or can it give side effects ? what time I should give it? Please help with your idea.

How stressed do they get?
I would cover Cierra’s carrier with a cover to keep her calm and ask them to take her BP before doing anything else.
I’m going to ask @Suzanne & Darcy and @tiffmaxee to comment on the gabapentin dose. I have no experience in using it and I am not a fan of it.
When is the appointment?

Hi Bron, thank you, seems like I’m too late to give it, my appointment is 12.30( within 35 minutes) I’m going to cover her and give her favourite treats .and I did ask to check blood pressure first. Also requested I want to be with Simba while they taking blood. I’ll update soon Bron

Just came home, still waiting for Blood test results,

both of them blood pressure extremely high. I feel it’s because of stress. Still I didn’t buy blood pressure machine Bron
