Thank you all for your tips and support thus far! Vilas has some pelvic inflammation so he is on some meds for that and I got him switched over to Lantus/Glargine. I'm feeling much better with a different vet.

Now before all of this insulin business started he gobbled down any food including Fancy Feast Classics or Whiskeys Pates but now he does more licking than eating. He loves the freeze dried treats though. So either the smell of the wet food is making him nauseas or he doesn't like the texture.

I've seen some food lists on here but they are kind of long to sort through. Any recommendations for chunky wet food?

You might try boiling some chicken and chopping it up to mix in with canned, it'd give a chunkier texture and wouldn't add any carbs.
I agree!! My cat was the same way and missed the "chunks" I feed him EVO 95% chicken and turkey...i put a f ew pieces of cut up boiled chicken in it and he loves it!!

Or you could get a few cans of Weruva or Tiki and mix it with the pates. Or sprinkle some of the dust from the freeze dried treats or Fortiflora on top of the pates and see if that picks his appetite up? If he's in pain, the meds (or the pain) could be affecting his appetite (bupe always makes Bandit eat picky even though it's not a usual side effect for most cats), and hopefully he'll get his regular appetite back once he's feeling better.
