My heart aches for you and your loss. Be gentle with yourself, and let her memories bring you comfort. Wishing you peace, and wishing China a safe journey to the Bridge.

Oh, ((((Chris)))), am so shocked and saddened to see this... You poor love, my heart goes out to you.

Fly free, dear China. Touch down softly in Chris's aching heart to let her know all is well with you....

(((Chris))) I've just heard the very sad news, tears stream down my face for you, and I know that nothing I can say will ease the pain, you have been a devoted Momma Bean to your China, and a friend to so many of us here, your support to so many of us here is greatly appreciated by so many. I remember you being one of the first folk to help me when I first came on the board, you made me feel welcome and made me feel hopeful for George, for that I thank you from the bottom of my heart.
Many of us will be grieving by your side, I will miss China at the piano, dressed up in her over the top outfits.

I'm so sorry Chris. When I first got here it was obvious you were always a source of knowledge and willing to share with everyone. I really believe that comes from love.
The days ahead will be hard but you have more friends here than you know. Please take care of yourself and know that we all loved China.

Thank you all for your love. My China knew she was very loved by many so I'm sure she's surrounded by all her old friends who went ahead before her.

After rallying yesterday, this morning when it was time for AMPS, she was still in her favorite place behind the couch. I finally coaxed her out and she did eat a few bites, but when she tried to walk away, her rear legs weren't working for her right. She went into the kitchen and they gave out on the linoleum floor. I went in to pick her up and bring her back out on the carpet and she peed all over me. She's never done that before, even when she was so sick after her dental so I knew she was in trouble.

The vet that I sort of trust around here didn't open until 7:45, but I called and left a message and scooped her up and headed that way. The vet called back while we were on the road and said she'd meet me there but it would be about 30 minutes before she could get there.

By the time we got there, she was gone.

When the vet showed up, she took her in to listen for a heartbeat, but of course there wasn't one. I knew she had left me.

Her first thought was that China had gone into DKA.....I told her no....that wasn't it. I discussed my concerns about her possibly being severely constipated and she said she could take an x-ray for $55 so I told her to do it.

Several minutes later she came back and showed me the x-ray. She said there wasn't very much stool, so she wasn't constipated, but she had a very large mass in her abdomen that she felt was most likely cancer. Needless to say I was floored. She had been in great shape until Friday....and she'd been almost 100% China just yesterday.

Due to the holidays, it's going to be close to a month before I get my baby back home. The crematorium picks up on Tuesdays, so no pickup tomorrow or next Tuesday.

That's all I know....and right now, it's all I can do to just report the facts that I know.

Thank you again for your love and support. It means so much right now.

Ugh, that’s so hard. However, for her sake I am glad she was feeling good until her last moments. It’s harder on us, but I think it’s easier for them when they go quickly. I’m so sorry it’s happening right before the holidays, my heart breaks for you. You were such a good mommy and took such great care of her. I can’t believe you took care of her diabetes for 5 years. That’s true love and dedication. She was a lucky girl ❤️

I am so so sorry, Chris. It's so painful. :bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug::bighug:

You and China were so blessed to share life's journey and you both have given so much to all of us here. Thank you so much for that.

China will always be loved and remembered. I am sending you hugs.

Shocked and saddened doesn't begin to describe anything.

Chris. Lovely lady.
I am so sorry that China has slipped away .
She remains a very much loved pusscat all around the world, just as you too are very dear in all our hearts.

More hugs than the stars in the sky to you.

Please take care.

I'm really floored to get this news Chris. This is just cruddy timing and cruddy news.

You have done such an amazing job taking care of China all these years, and helping others as well. It seemed to me that China was pretty healthy for the past month or so, after her dental. I guess the cancer was just hiding there...and maybe there was not much you could have done anyway. China will always be the kitteh that I looked up to, for staying nearly perfectly regulated on insulin.

China had the best Mom and home ever. All she ever knew was love and good times, what a great life she had. May your sweet kitteh fly freely and land safely at the Bridge, waiting for you there.:bighug::bighug::bighug:

So sad, so sorry for you! But you were always there for her till the end and she knew she was not alone. She is OK now, but it takes awhile to get over this; you and her are together forever!cat_wings>o
