Hi guys. Just got home from work and checked his bg. It's 326. Was not able to get bg at lunch bc they redoing construction on the route and I wouldn't have enough time to get back on time. His amps was 395. I have reduced the amt of r for 2 days (from 2 u to 1.5u) only once daily instead of twice but he's not his normal self. I will check for ketones when he goes to the box. Should I increase back to 2 u r instead of 1.5 and go back to twice daily? He ate a little but not his normal amount. Also should I give the r now? He seems to be normally climbing at this time. Finally I am wondering if it's time to increase the lantus? He's been in 4 u now for 10 days without an increase. I will be home and available to get bg's as often as recommended the whole weekend. Thank you!
***added later...so Charlie just ate a little more and I gave him 2 u r. About 2 minutes later he just vomited it all up. He just got his insulin. What should I do? I'm about to give sub q fluids
