Changing shot times

I have a question about shot times and changing the times. Want your opinions etc.

Right now Abigail gets 1 unit between 5:30-6:00 am and another between 5:30 and 6:00 pm

I am pretty regular. I try to aim closer to 6 just because I never know when I will get home from work. I am running into a dilemma and wanted some advise. At the end of May my schedule will move up 6 hours for about a week. Meaning I'll be leaving the house around 1 pm and getting home later at night. What do I do. There will be no way for me to continue the 6 am 6 pm shots. I will be home at 6 am, but 6 pm I will not. Can I move the shot times for a week and then return to normal? I was thinking bump it to 12 pm- noon for the "am shot" and 12 am midnight for the pm shot. My husband and I don't have anyone to do the shots for the evening that week either or I would just ask. I only have a few trusted people and two are on vacation since it's memorial day.

Lantus or Levemir may be moved a total of 30 minutes per day or 15 minutes per shot, in whatever direction you need to go.

OK now this is going to sound crazy too. If I need to move her shot 6 hours later I will have to start moving her shot times in 30 minute increments ahead of time.

Right now lets say she is getting her shot at 6 pm. If I need to move it I will have to do it gradually each day so it will take 12 days to do it safely. I hope this makes sense.

Today- 6 pm
Friday- 6:30
Saturday- 7:00
Sunday-7:30
Monday-8:00
Tuesday-8:30
Wednesday-9:00
Thursday- 9:30
Friday- 10
Saturday- 10:30
Sunday- 11
Monday- 11:30
Tuesday- 12

Without a spreadsheet I have no idea what her numbers are like but if they're not in a dangerously high range or likely to get there you may be able to consider a change moving 6 hours forward all at once. It will act like a dose reduction and might mess with her numbers a bit but this still might be a better outcome than having 24 days of moving doses (12 on each side) because you need to change her shot time for 5 or 6 days. You may find it a bit difficult to keep track of when shot time is over this period making it easier to make a mistake... Definately DO NOT move the shot time back 6 hours though - that would act like a massive dose increase! If you don't test so don't know where her numbers are at I wouldn't recommend you consider this option and suggest you stick to the moving no more than 30mins per day.

And yes your scheduling for that is correct.

This schedule is only for a week so I am a tiny bit concerned. I am working a convention. I just started home testing so I don't have a chart. Once I get the hang of it and I have luck then I will start a spreadsheet. I've only been lucky enough to get her reading once a day so far. I do the three tries thing. In the AM I have never had luck but when I get home from work it's been good. I don't have enough data to see how her numbers will be but hopefully soon!
