Cerenia question

My vet gave me Cerenia today for Shadow in injectable form.

She told me it stings .... and Shadow agrees.....
She fought hard, and scratched me hard.

Has anyone else used the injectable or should I just ask for pills or even try to get it compounded into a liquid drop?

Yes it does sting. However, it is better for vomiting since it can't be vomited out.
If you can pill Shadow I would go that route if the shots are not tolerated. Compounding meds have a short life once compounded so I tend to avoid those
