On December 4th of 1994, I was walking in the hills behind my house in California, and it was dusk. I heard what sounded like a cat crying. It sparked my interest, but when I looked and searched around, I didn't see anything. I put it in the back of my mind that when I passed that same area on my return home and if I still heard the cat that I would investigate further. On my way home it was dark, but I still heard the cat, and eventually found this little kitten running from me through the weeds. I caught him, and walked down the hill to where there was a McDonald's Restaurant, and tried to give him away. There were a few young girls that pulled on their Daddy's sleeve asking if they could have him, but their Daddy's all said "no", so J.D. came home with me.

November 4th has been his birthday ever since. I have to work on Monday, so we are Celebrating his Big Day, today :-D

J.D. is inviting everyone to come by for chicken and steak and shrimp and lobster and catnip, and to check out his new cool water fountain and pet stairs. Come on over.

I brought the two cat nip plants (in big planters) into the house, so the cats could partake freely.
I got home from work and the kitties had already polished off all the shrimp and the steak was ready to be served.
The cats had some bits of steak and then since the weather is a perfect fall day, we took turns taking the kitties that wanted to go for walks, out around the courtyard. Don't worry beans, they all had harnesses and leashes with beans attached, both to keep them controlled and all walking in the same direction, and to keep the squirrels safe. As our squirrels know that cats on leashes = peanuts, and I had a pocket full of peanuts to give out as we walked.
More steak and catnip was had when we got back inside. The kitties are settling into a circle to talk and some are looking like they are ready to take a short cat nap. I am off to the grocery store to pick up the fresh lobster, and then to put the chicken in the oven.

Come on out kitties. Don't worry if you missed the shrimp, there is more to come.

I enjoyed the lovely story of how J.D. became your kitty.
Lucy is very happy that we got back from the vet just in time for the lobster and chicken. :-D

He didn't really eat a lot today, except for a bunch of treats, steak, and lobster. If he doesn't eat tonight, I'll give him some cypro. I bought some freeze dried raw powdery stuff and my cats do not like it. I put just a small sprinkling of it on their food when I left the house this morning, and that pretty much stopped them in their tracks from eating that plate of food.


I came home from the grocery store to find this:

The kittys were having fun without me there.


Warm fresh lobster has since been served and eaten.
I have received a 1/3 inch slash down my index finger from the shell. I see blood and I think test :cool: but I didn't.

The kitties are now relaxing out on the deck.

I feel bad that J.D. has to wait for his dinner because of daylight savings time. He has been waiting for his dinner since 6:00pm and has another half hour to go. We got back from out 3rd walk today, and he was waiting on the deck where he normally gets fed. He came in the house, and I gave him some freeze dried chicken. He didn't eat that much wet food today, and I bet he's really hungry NOW.

Made me realize we missed Oreo's birthday - oops....Jessica said it still sounds like a reason to make a cake, "a cake for us to eat." :-D

Sounds like the kitters had a very special day with all those treats. And pretty nice numbers too for JD! He deserves that lobster. :-D
