WOW!! It's been so long since I've been back from the falls for a visit, I don't recognize anyone!!
Anyway, my name is Chuck. I was diagnosed in March, 2008, and suffered a vet induced hypo a couple of weeks later. Thanks to the great staff at the emergency hospital, I survived (even though my BG at time was so low it wouldn't register on their meters, which registered as low as 10!!!). A few weeks later, May 5 to be exact, I went OTJ and have been OTJ since. FOUR YEARS!!!! That's pretty amazing to my momma bean and to my new vets here in Texas.
I'm now 17 years old and starting to feel my age a bit. There are 3 civvies who live with me (and in spite of me) now -- Riley (4), Dallas (3) and Bouncer who will be one year old next week. Don't think any of them will have to go through what I did because momma bean feeds us all the Cat-kins diet!
Well, I just wanted to pop back from the falls for a quick visit and say "HI!" to everyone in Lantus-land!
Your friend,
Chuck
