Cdn source for half-unit marked syringes?

Hi,

I'm trying to find syringes with the half-unit mark and am having no luck (I'm in Canada). The Walmart pharamcy, Shoppers Drugmart and well.ca do not have them. Where have other Canadians been able to find these?

Did you ask the pharmacy to order them for you? Some don't carry them in stock but I know Walmart can have them there within 48 hours. If the clerk tells you they can't order them, demand to speak to their manager. These are the same syringes used for human diabetic children so they must be able to get them for parents of diabetic kids!

I know there are places to order them online as well so I hope someone else can give you those links. I always got them at Walmart.

Ahhhh, Walmart. Maybe that's where I used to get mine :?: :roll:
Now I just have to try and remember what size/length needles on them :YMSIGH:

Hi Erin,

I'm in Mississauga. I have found the BD syringes with 1/2 unit markings at Walmart and at Loblaws Superstore (here they had them behind the counter, so i just asked). They seem to have them whenever I pass by - even though Kitten is OTJ, I have a habit of always taking a peek. Just make sure that you take a look at them before you buy them since you can't return them.

Are you looking for the 3/10cc, 31 gauge, 5/16" (short) syringes?
 
Thanks for the responses. I did find some at Superstore (Loblaws). Shoppers Drugmart, Walmart, Rexall Pharma Plus and well.ca did not have any, which I find odd. But anyway, I got some! Except that LeeLee's PMPS BG was 5.6 mmol/L (101), so I didn't give her any insulin anyway!
 
I get mine at Walmart, they are called BD Ultrafine II and they are VERY expensive at about 40 dollars for a box of 100. Glad you found some though.
