Hi Sugar Parents, I use CBD myself and was doing some reading about the benefits of using CBD for feline diabetes. Mine is 3000mg/30ml. From what I'm reading 3.5-7mg is a "normal" dose for cats. I think that would mean that 1 drop of mine would be about 5mg. Ernest is still in the reds on 4.5 units of Prozinc and I'm just wondering if I should try this? Has anyone tried it for their sugar kitty? Any luck? Thank you for any and all advice!! @Deb & Wink @Panic @JanetNJ
I have heard mixed results about CBD with kitties ... though I don't know if I've heard anything about using it for their diabetes?? What's the reason behind that?
https://cannabissupplementsforpets.com/cbd-for-cats-with-diabetes/ In this article it states: 1. CBD can improve pancreatic health 2. CBD can fight damage from inflammation 3. CBD can boost their metabolism and digestive health
Interesting. I did a quick search here and found a couple threads talking about CBD that might be helpful. https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB...bd-drops-are-actually-legal-in-all-50.174950/ https://www.felinediabetes.com/FDMB/threads/cbd-oil-for-feline-diabetes.212465/ I think I would post in the Main Health too, to get more eyes on it and more input.
I've only tried cbd for my cat that was marketed to cats. It didn't have much effect. I don't know what to say about the dose of a human strength version.
