Cat's with diabetes and CKD food recommendations

Hello everyone,

I have looked at the food list with cats that have diabetes and CKD and very much appreciate the resource. Since there are a lot of options to look into, I was wondering if anyone here has seen success with their cat with kidney disease and diabetes and what foods that work for them. Just wanted a place to start since I got a little overwhelmed with the list. Not sure if I should prioritized low phosphorus for kidneys or low cab high protein for diabetes or if there is a way to do both.
 
There is a list put out by a CKD group that contains foods good for both conditions. CKD food Chart. See the 4th link down. This is a list of low phosphorus and low carb options.

Personally, I fed my diabetic and CKDcat mostly raw food that also was low carb and low P. And a couple options from that list.

What are the options from the list that you liked? I understand that my cat might be different but I am just looking for a place to start! Thank you
 
My Neko never met a food she wouldn't eat. 🤣. Not the best example. Also, this was a while ago so some were not available then and I'm in Canada where it's harder or impossible find all the same brands. Look at what brands you can get easily in stores near you and try them. She liked some of the Weruva brands, Tiki are also popular here. And both brands fairly easy to find on pet food store shelves.
