...you can't have just one!

Most of us seem to have multiple kitties. Just curious-how many does everyone have? I have 2 (but people keep trying to give me more).
 
LOL!! i thought the same thing when i saw your subject line....can't have just one

let's just say i have more than you have fingers, and nearly as many as you have appendages :-)
 
11 indoor: Tux, Moppet, Phoebee, Street, Precious, Spitzer, Buster, Pip, Fission, Smokey Joe, and Mason.
2 known strays outdoors that I am feeding: Elf, Gray
 
At the moment, only 2. Bob and Mullet.
But I've had at least two, and upwards of nine in the house since I became owned by my first kitties over 30 years ago!

I have 2: Stinky & Mo, but we (my kids & I) are pushing Hubs hard to adopt a 3rd. So far, he has not broken, but he's the one who said we wouldn't have even 1 cat.
 
I am the picture of restraint here, just poor little old Niko who would probably faint away if I brought another kitty into the house. (As would my husband...)
 
I have three inside, Big Henry, Monkey (black kitty) and Kokamo Jo (sealpoint Ragdoll)
2 TNR girls that are left of my TNR feral colony, Blackie and Little Tabs (they aren't really feral now, both are friendly and let you pet them, they just don't like or want to be inside). They don't like each other, even though they both were born here, Blackie is territorial and chases little Tabs, so Blackie lives around my deck and Tabs in a shed on other end of property. At one time, I had a feral colony of about 20, that I gradually got all trapped and neutered, but new arrivals always appeared. Most were Maine Coon mixes, started with abandoned Maine Coon Buster rhat a neighbor left behind, he was huge about 30 pounds, very gentle giant. Oh and while I had all the cats outside, someone also moved away and left a pot-bellied pig, Pork Chop that had become huge, he would come through a hole in his fence everyday and eat with the ferals and hang out.
 
Yesterday we fed 11 cats and 7 dogs....we only fed 10 cats this morning as Shadow (black feral) never shows up until late evening but Noah (tux and moustached feral) WAS here waiting. I have links to pictures of the cats in KTs profile but haven't put the dogs pics in yet...

Cats - KT, Snowshoe, Nuisance, Pepper, Boots, Scruffy, Spike, Lily, Peanut, Noah and Shadow
Dogs - Lacey, Sassy, Sasha, Harley, Chloe, Star and Samson

Never a dull moment around here...we truly never know how many we feed nightly....I leave a 8 cup bowl in the 'woods' corner.
 
Well as of the middle of Sept we have 5 and since my mother told me I was like one of those "hoarders" I'm afraid to tell people! DH said he ran into my aunt today & she asked if Jen took her cat when she moved (she didn't - she's in an apt & Josie likes to run out the door) then she wanted to know how many cats we have now....he replied 4! :lol:

We really only have 5 temporarily since I will be delivering Petunia to Kim when we meet at Donna's for the photo convention. Petunia can't wait, but she doesn't think she will like the name Nuvyal (did I spell that right?) & she's afraid Kim might try to shoot her with some of that spare insulin she has! :lol: :mrgreen:
