Cat Stroller

Hi, everyone,

A cat stroller I ordered arrived yesterday and we went for our first walk together! :D She didn't seem like the happiest camper at first since she doesn't go outside the house unless going to the vet, but I think if we give it a little more time she will grow to love it. My cat loves to sit on a chair with wheels and be rolled around the house, and this is a similar concept. I did feel a bit nervous about her safety and think I will have her wear a harness with leash while inside the stroller, just as an extra precaution that she can't escape. But I think overall this could be a great way to enrich her life and get her some fresh air. Plan to take her for another walk in the morning. :joyful:
Anyone use a cat stroller or take their cat out for walks? How do your cats seem to like it?
Btw, hope this is in a good spot; if not, feel free to move it. Wasn't sure whether it belonged in this forum or the Community one.

I thought of that too but then I have a different entryway to the house that I don't normally use, so I figure if we go out only that way for our walks, she won't associate the main door with going outside.

if it helps their mental health your post is in the right spot. We have one cat that is street smart and won't cross the sidewalk but Daniel is as dumb as a post, runs across the street and thumbs his nose at me, na-na-na-boo-boo! If it keeps them safe and expands their horizons then why not?
Marco may like the car but he's not in a Kevlar crate strapped in a five point harness so what you're doing is nowhere near as dangerous. Indoors may be safer but for some cats it's just not natural. Some cats.
 
No pics to share yet; we were only outside a couple minutes so as not to overwhelm her. Sounds like fun for her. Maybe practice inside the house a bit, so that when you go out the stroller is familiar, and only the new air, sights, smells are new and interesting?
