We are trying Natural Balance L.I.D. Limited Ingredient Diets Canned Cat & Kitten Food(pea and duck) to help Tabby with his life long diarrhea problem. The first case we bought at the Petco store and the food consistency was firm like Fancy Feast. The second case I bought was also from Petco but an online order. Arrived in 3 days. But this food is mush. I actually can pour it into his dish. Does anyone here know which texture is right or have you encountered both? The firmer stuff was firming up his stools. Just worried this slop stuff went bad during delivery. Any and all help well appreciated.

I have used natural balance LID a few times and it was more like FF.. I dont like the sound of mush... whats the expiry on it.?

2016. Even if it ad been shaken up I wouldn't think it would be mush. Monday I am going to exchange it and buy 2 cases. I plan to open a can from each case right in the parking lot and if its mush I will return it. I will also try to shake a an from each case to see HW solid t sounds. The bad think is is that Tabby loves it like mush. LOL But he will get back to liking the firmer stuff. Just feel bad I can't get to the store until Monday. It's 2 hours away.

You could call the company? When you pick up the new ones check its not the same batch number. there should be a batch number/date on it.

Maybe something printed on the cans to tell where it was manufactured. Some foods are made in different plants in the US and Canada and you can see different textures. You may want to call the company customer service number to ask what is going on. Complain. Maybe get some free samples or coupons.

Definitely get the batch & lot numbers, then call them. I had to do that with Wellness last fall because they were having that kind of issue and my cats were vomiting a lot on it.

You may get some coupons out of it, too, for helping monitor their quality control.

I called the company. They said they haven't changed the formula. But they said that tach may ave had more water added to it. And I could return or exchange it no problem. And I just checked Tabbys litter box and his stools aren't formed again. And she said to make sure to et a different use by date as all cans with the same use by date are from the same batch. I sure hope when I find the right food it will go back to helping Tabby. He has been diabetic for about 8 years. I guess I will have to make do until Monday. And they never offered me any coupons or anything.
