hi- my cat was recently diagnosed with diabates last week.
Its been a tough week, as I am a bit stressed about giving injections, and making sure to wait 12 hrs- etc etc- Hes on Hills W/D perscrip food per my vet, and he hates it- which is interfering with giving him his shot (must eat with shot) I learned ther Hills scrip food is VERY high in carbs, and grains (which is bad, I believe) but very high in fiber (which is good I think- but he hates it) Someone told me about "Evo" by Enova this is very LOW carb (16% vs 38% for Hills) - but its low fiber- hills is 9% fiber- Evo is only 1.39% fiber- A pet nutritionist said Hills is "crap" food for diabetic cats, and Evo is much better for this disease- I will check with my vet before giving my cat Evo, of course, but- HELP- Does anyone have any feedback on this? He's getting only 3 CC's of insulin, as its his first week of treatment, and he hasnt had his first "curve" done yet-
