Tonight my boys had an altercation. No specific reason. Just dweezy was in the hall cupboard (where they are not supposed to go) and Monty tried to get in. Dweez felt cornered and then after some stalking (dweez stalking monty) and tension, they seemed ok, until suddenly they were brawling and growling. SO much fur flew.

Anyway...they are mostly ok now. A bit skittish. Dweezy has sniffed Monty a few times, they've kissed noses. But then Monty will bat his paw slightly and we step in a bit to prevent a repeat of earlier events. Both cats seem very relaxed at times but when one of them moves, the other gets nervous.

But both of them are drinking a heap! Monty is definitely not Diabetic. And Dwee is drinking SO much and seems extremely subdued.

I know stress like this causes blood glucose to raise...will he be ok?

Probably.
Cats do react to illness in other cats and may attack one that is sick.
You can reduce stress by 15-20 minutes of active play twice a day, with each cat. For now, do so separately, as going after the same toy could generate conflict.
See also Cat Behavior Associates website for their tips and some 4eally good cat behavior books (ex "Starting From Scratch")

UGHHHHHHH! I feel for you lol. I went through insanity twice within the past 2 months. I had to have all 3 separated for several days and do the re-introduction. As to bg, i'd assume it would be fine. It's similar to a trip to the vet or any other stress. Just try to keep them calm, and like BJM said play. Play and food keep them distracted and will work their energy some where else. You can also get the feliway spray if its a big concern. It helped mine some and I got it from my vet for like $15. Didnt fix anything but did help, but my case was CRAZY STRAY cat fights lol.

Good luck!

Oh, and don't forget to reward good behavior.
