Cat constipation

So i think my boy may have a little bout of constipation. He only eats canned and always has fresh water. Looks like he has gone to the litterbox 2x in a few minutes and only a small little poop ball came out. Not in pain or anything but any suggestions?

If NOT obstructed, options include:
- 1/8 to 1/4 teaspoon of plain psyllium powder added to food
- 1/4 teaspoon Miralax added to food

I have the same problem, but mine is on Hills Dry ( switching to can food ) and I got some lactulose from the vet which he hates! plus i cant find the syringe right now, the bottle has a small opening where you put the syringe in to pull the liquid out ( i think he hide it last night, but this AM the stool in the box was NOT hard & small )

@sherrib You might want to try Miralax instead of the lactulose...the biggest benefit is it has no taste and dissolves in any type of food/liquid

We usually start at about 1/8th teaspoon twice a day

Thank you, I will have to try it. I had to take Skittles in Saturday morning and his doctor said I could that one or theirs. Since I was moving that day, I just got theirs
