My kitties got a cold last week at the vet vaccination clinic last week. We had to wait an hour plus outside in a line to get in, well with indoor kitties they got kinda chilly. Any suggestions to help their sneezing & snotty noses?

It may be due to the herpes virus. For that 250 mg of L-Lysine once are twice a day helps prevent the herpes virus from reproducing.
Otherwise just monitor and if you see signs of a secondary bacterial infection (green/white mucus from eyes or nose) antibiotics may be necessary. Also warm, moist compress helps clear gunk from eyes/nose.

Will try that, have to go pick l-lysine up tomorrow since I work today. Will try the compresses when I get home tonight. I just know when I hear them wind up to sneeze to get out of the way! So far no colored snot or weepies.

L-lysine is an amino acid - a protein building block. It comes powdered, in tablets, vet gels, and vet chews (mine loved Vetri Lysine).

Of course didn't get a chance to pick up the l-lysine so will try to do it today. My MIL decided to quit taking all her meds, food & water, thus now in hospital. Staff has her hydrated now, just working out the rest of the kinks.

You can use Infant saline drops to help keep nasal passages moist & open (we use it on foster kittens/cats). One drop per nostril. Lysine is great too!

We elevate the food dishes too--usually flip one bowl upside down to make a platform. That way when the cat bends to eat their head doesn't fill with gunk, they can't smell and won't eat. You can also warm up the food a bit to make it "smellier" and more appealing.
