Cassie update

Again, it's been a while since I've posted. Many won't remember us, but I wanted to update those who do. Cassie is still OTJ; last check he was 46. His last insulin shot was 1/11/15. He's holding his own at 16.5 years, and so far (fingers crossed) is healthy.

My civvie, Benny, however, crossed the rainbow bridge on Oct. 18. He was a month short of 18.5, and was fighting kidney problems. He passed peacefully, and Cass and I are doing surprisingly well (although he wants more attention than usual).

I am thankful that this site is here for people struggling with their sugAR kitties. Cass was extremely hard to regulate, but with your help, he's happy & healthy more than 5 years after dx (8/1/11).

Lisa, I am so glad to hear from you! And how lovely that Cass is still off the juice. I use Cassie's example of bouncing, and waiting and finally OTJ, so often.

I am sorry to hear about Benny, but I know he had a lovely life with you, and lived a long time!
