How old is your vial? It seems you got a late onset for some reason. Or caught some fur maybe?

Maybe. It's only .5 u, though. I've only been feeding all wet for just over a week. I want to give him some time to settle before I start adjusting again. If I had an inverse curve it would be obvious, but flat.cycles aren't as.clear. Even at .4 (lowest.he got)..he had a lot of flat cycles. Given his bounces lately he has been getting some low (for him-blue).cycles. I'll update his ss tomorrow; can't do.on phone.

When I dose Kitty...I do back off if the preshot is below 220. If I don't she bounces....but, if I back off too much then I flirt with not enough insulin. There is a fine line between too much and not enough...truly, it is just trial and error. When you get a mid to low 200 preshot, why don't you back off to .4 and see what it gives you? Just remember, you can't base the cycle on the next preshot....you need some mid cycle test to actually see what is happening.
On TID, Kitty has never had as much drop as she did on BID--but, she doesn't have as high of preshots. I consider it a trade off. I have reviewed a lot of TID Spreadsheets, and I haven't seen any kitties that get a lot of drop on TID---the curves are much flatter. So, I have taken the approach, that as long as Kitty is in decent numbers....I am okay with the flatter cycles. I think this is hard to relate to, unless you have experienced the red and black preshots like Cassie and Kitty.
Keep trialing.....you will figure it out.....and then......it will change again....this, I promise!!! :mrgreen:

Maybe you could combine TID with a sliding scale.
Perhaps something like
Under 250, .4
250-350 .5
350 and up .6
They are tiny adjustments, but Cass seems to be extra-sensitive to doses that are that small in difference. And of course, maybe my numbers aren't in the right place. The lines could be at 275, and 375 for instance.
Robin could be right that the dose is too high, but maybe it isn't too high all of the time. Maybe sometimes Cassie needs just a bit more and less.

Of course, he bounces when I don't get a mid.cycle reading. His lowest ps so far is.246, but he's shown evidence of bounce wirh ps of 288. The lowest.mid number I saw was 174, and he usualky.has.drops.less than 100 pts. I doubt he's getting much lower.than 150.
I don't know if a scale is the way ti go or not-doesn't he need to get used to lower.numbers?
