We ended up in the ER Sunday. Saturday after work I thought she was better because she was on the cat tree, but in the morning she was still in the same position and hadnt moved. She asked to come down and I put her on the floor and her back legs were collapsing under her, and she was swaying from side to side when she did stay up. So we went to the ER mainly to rule other stuff out.
Her spine is also arthritis, the way her reg Doc phrased it made me think it was an abnormality of some kind or trauma. the xrays must have made her much worse.. she wont get up to eat or drink, I am syringing. She climbed out of her round bed briefly this morning and went back in. Last night she peed in her box but got her back end wet because she couldnt squat. I am sure she has poo in there that wont come out (not much, since shes not eating). I told her to mess her bed and I would clean it up.
Its complicated by the fact that she clears sedation very slowly, and doesnt eat..this happened after her dental and also after her xrays Weds. So I wasnt too worried. Was syringing food around the drool caused by the Tramadol.. she was drooling even just approaching her, anticipatory drool
The tramadol taste messed us up big time, and the ER doc gave us bupe, but shes still not eating and doesnt want to move even with pain meds. So we are stopping all pain meds to see if thats contributing to the not eating. I went to reg vet to get fluids and cypro-hopefully if theres poo in there the fluids will help it come out. Still giving Miralax in the morning.
