Well first BG of the day went smoothly. A sign that hes taking it better? Hopefully. Read out was 345 @ +2 Next check should be at +9-10 when I get up in the morning. Oh I also did a Ketone strip just to check, still shows nothing. So thats a good thing.
 
Well this mornings bg test happened at +12. It was 326. He seems to be hanging out in the 300s when its close to shot time. Today Ill be able to get more BG levels hopefully. My 7yr old helped this morning. I had gotten the blood when the cat shook his head, landing blood on my nose and her face. She was so disgusted I had to laugh. Id love to know how that little drop can spread so much lol. He did great this morning too. I can see its the other 4 people in the house making it hard to test him so tomorrow should be easier when its just myseslf and my 4yr old for most of the day :smile:
 
I’ve had a tiny drop of blood splattered all over my face and glasses. A few times. I guess it’s just a rite of passage with FD.

You're doin' so good testing for BG and ketones. Carl is lucky to have such a dedicated mama. More tests today will help you see how he does on the 2u. Wishing you and Carl good #'s.
 
I used to hold on to Bix's ear until I got the blood - otherwise too risky he might move! I held a folded kleenex underneath, so just kind of held on with my thumb I think and then fingers under the kleenex, something like that.

Can you clarify on the food, you have already switched to LC canned? Or is that canned food higher carb? I got confuzed :mrgreen:
 
the friskies canned flakes is still higher carb I believe. I know the patte was lower. He did great on this GB. He sat on my lap, no head shaking and no attempt to move. :razz:
 
My grandson, who is 5 likes to help me. He finds something that he can dangle in front of Maisey or just stand in front of her and talk. He's partial to things he's made in preschool, many have sparkles of one sort another.
Yes, I would guess we have all been spattered at one time or another. I have used the spatter on occassion, I have the ReliOn Micro and it does fine sucking in the spatter.
